Stride is a health tech startup founded by Olympic bronze medalist Andrew Steele. They provide everyday people with an athlete-level health stack, covering everything from personalised supplementation, DNA Methylation testing and medically-guided GLP-1 medication plans.
After a successful first collaboration, Andrew and his team invited us to Lisbon to create another series of founder-driven launch videos. This time, for StrideDNA, their next-generation methylation and nutrigenetic test, and StrideCare, their science-backed health care service.
Hicks2 created another round of founder-driven videos to introduce the target audience to two new Stride services and, most importantly, the science behind them.
In a fast-moving landscape where pseudo-science health trends explode overnight, it's increasingly crucial that health-focused brands put science front and centre.
We aimed to create a series of videos that go beyond product promotion and into the realm of educational content - keeping things detailed yet lean and precise. In the words of Stride themselves, knowledge is power, but simplicity is key.

Shot the vibrant city of Lisbon, Portugal, we transformed a stylish Airbnb into a fully functioning video studio. To ensure that Stride received an unparalleled production experience, we meticulously arranged for the shipping of lights, cameras, and equipment from overseas.
Directing on set, our primary focus was to ensure that the visuals, tone, and pacing aligned with the high-performance brand message. In addition, real-time script editing was employed to safeguard that crucial information was effectively communicated without being overshadowed.
Our post-production team refined over three days of 4K RAW footage into two core videos designed to communicate what StrideDNA and StrideCare are and who they are for.
We emptied the entire editing toolbox on this one. Smooth transitions, professional colour grading, and motion graphics enhance the storytelling and highlight key product features.
We collaborated with Stride to create additional promotional content for their digital and social channels, carefully selecting clips and cut-downs for a series of digital and PPC ads.
To maximise our time in Lisbon, we also created some bonus content for social media that enhanced Stride's positioning as the health-focused brand it is.
